Was supposed to post this last nite, but my hse modem cant connect!!! Irritating!!! But I penned down my thoughts so now at ken's place, typing in the entry....
Just came back from the 2nd nite of emerge conference. Should be feeling all charged up but instead I'm feeling grieved. Grieved over the fact that few people managed to catch the message that Pst Kong was trying to simplify and let us know about spiritual hunger. Grieved that so many ppl were there, but few were from my cell...
What is spiritual hunger? Have you experienced hunger before? Try fasting 3 days and nites without food. That's physical hunger, you'll yearn for food. Spiritual hunger is the same feeling but the yearning for the spiritual things, spiritual encounters. The wanting, the deep desire that you just want more of God.
Pst Kong fasted for 21 days for this emerge, to prepare himself. How many of us fasted half as many times a month before emerge? This just shows how serious he is with God and how serious we are. It seems to show that we have become so unthankful, taking things for granted. It greatly saddens me to see our members not able to come for emerge. It just shows how hungry they are for God. No matter what circumstances they might be in, I know that with God, all things are possible and without faith, it is impossible to please God. If you dont even try, how would you know it's impossible?! Even if i'm going to be late and miss praise and worship and all the special highlights, I'm going to come! Cos what matters most is the Word of God! Cos the Word is the thing that's gonna change my life!
I begin to wonder, why should God supply since the people are not hungry for it, not pursuing it... The desire of a thing is seen in the pursuit for it.... What do we desire today?!
Paul says in the bible, 'Imitate me as I imitate Christ'. I think Pst Kong can safely say that.
But I wonder... How many of us are able to say the same? I wonder... ... ... ...
